Julia has a 2.1 honours degree in Health from Liverpool John Moores University. A City & Guilds 7307 Further Education Teacher’s Certificate, Diploma in Counselling, Spiritual Life Coaching Diploma, Chakra Balancing Practitioner, Reiki Master, Holistic Health Practitioner. She is currently writing her fourth book, The Way of the Boomerang; to help others to become their own holistic health investigator and rebalance their lives.
Having spent 25+ years working within educational settings, teaching with health social care and counselling as well as career guidance and coaching, Julia decided to create some study books to help individuals with their own applications to university and for the job market because she had spent many years delivering presentations about applying to university and then coaching clients in writing application forms and writing their CV. It seemed very natural to write a book.
In April 2011, her first book was published: Writing a UCAS Personal Statement in Seven Easy Steps and in July 2012, the second book:Creating Your First Ever CV in Seven Easy Steps.
From 2011 -2017 Julia was an external marker for the World of Work Programme at Liverpool John Moores University, here she critiqued and marked personal statements from Home and International students. She supported students through the university application process, guiding them to write their personal statement, as well as mentoring individuals who wanted to create their first ever CV and find the right career path, using the skill set that they have.
Over the last 13 years Julia has also supported other therapists, counsellors, healers, practitioners with their business, helping them to create their own marketing tools by designing illustrations, websites, business cards and campaigns.
Living in Liverpool with her two Jack Russells one of the ways Julia rebalances is through her art and design. She always turns to this. You'll always find her drawing and painting, being creative in some aspect. Art and design has been her long standing best friend since she was a mini Jules, culminating in her creating tools and resources to support and rebalance our soul, cutting out the external noise - to go inwards through for example, journalling and therapeutic mantras, to help people feel more aligned, attuned, and at a frequency that resonates. Her Joy Place is seated amongst a stash of professional markers, coloured pens, pencils, inks, watercolours, gouache and acrylics, collaging items, scissors, glue stick, paint and canvas.s
Currently writing her 4th book, Julia has taught and spoken along the topic of health and wellness in further and higher education whilst at the same time growing her private practice and speaking at events and retreats.
Fundamental to all this is about digging and discovering, taking back the reigns to your own health and investigating ways to holistic wellness, encompassing all aspects of being a sovereign human being.
