Hello you

... Healing me healing you ...

Whatever you're dealing with right now, maybe you're coping with persistent tiredness, in a rut, out of sync today, perhaps feeling just out of sorts in a stucky yucky place.

I am really glad you're here.

Below are six ways to shift the focus; these are included within my upcoming book Rebalance Me and were a very important part of my healing back to health when I was ill in my 20s.  They're also very much in my present healing toolbox. If you want to read a bit more about the beginning, you can go here. 

This is not about putting on a happy smiley face, and pushing forward, this is about taking a breather, seeking support, looking after yourself and putting yourself first, for a change.  Somewhere within you, you're congested and here is where you can get the flow moving again.

Without any more preamble, let me get straight into it, so you can get access and feel a shift.

*Read *Listen *Feel *Colour *Smell *Do


1. Read

When you think of balance, what do you need?
What's making you feel yuk?
What would make you feel yummy?
(go grab a journal or piece of paper)

 What's making you feel yuk?

  • In your mind, ask yourself what are you putting up with at the moment that is Yuk? Be honest.
  • What things are frustrating you?   Maybe, it's about your personal life, home, work, community, global?
Jot down anything that comes to mind that is making you feel YUK.

Now.... turn to that list and highlight with a colour that you like.
  • What's in your control and what's not?
  • Ask yourself... is there anything to do with my future?
  • Anything to do with my past?
  • What is in the present.  The here and the now?
  • Separate out your list.
Now, what would make you feel yummy?


Take another piece of paper or clear page in a journal and write from the heart a lislt of what would make you feel yummy right now... to soothe some of the things that make you feel yuk.


For example:- maybe
  • Being with family
  • Going to the cinema
  • Watching a joy film from childhood.
  • Going on a photo walk
  • Taking 5 minutes of quiet time.
  • Being on your own and not disturbed.
  • Eating a dish of home cooked food
  • Eating a favourite chocolate bar
  • Stopping for a coffee and cake
  • Skipping
  • Having a bath
  • Being touched
  • Organising your workspace/bedroom/bathroom
  • Getting out in nature
  • Walking dogs (yours or a friend)
  • What else?

2. Listen

Take 12 minutes, put your head phones on and listen to my Guided Relaxation - Blue. 

This meditation helps you cloak yourself in a blue shield so that you feel protected from outside negative elements, giving you time to rebalance. 

Blue is the colour of the throat chakra, which symbolically relates to communication and expressing yourself. 

Notice what you're holding back on? 
What are you not expressing?

3. Feel

Choose a Muse Mantra Card from my card deck and go here for the reading.  Feel drawn to a certain card, there are 60 in total and each feature a Muse (all women, illustrated by me) and her Mantra.  I shuffled the pack and these three popped out for you.  Once you've felt which card is for you, you will then be able to download each Muse Mantra image and use it on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or even print it out and keep it near-by.  Say the mantra to yourself daily, write it out, compose a tune and sing it to yourself will begin to clear and shift the congestion.

4. Colour

10 Minute Muse Mantra Meditations

Remember how colouring-in felt when you were a child? As adults we forget.  Did you know 3.5 million adult colouring-in books were sold in 2015? Here 2 Muse Mantras for you to print out and colour in.  10 Minute Muse Mantra Meditations to calm your mind, soothe your soul and inspire your life.  As a healer and artist, I colour-in all the time.   Research about colouring-in is that it most definitely helps to ease stress and anxiety - it's a great way to switch off and can help alleviate tension. Practised on a consistent daily basis it's meditative.   Create your own colouring-in ritual right now.
 
This is a therapeutic practice for yourself, whilst focusing on the mantra, quietly repeating it in your mind.

5. Smell

This is about smelling our skin but it's also about touch. We can hand this over to someone else to do, with a massage but to do this for yourself when you're feeling yuk, connects you back to you again.

The shift right now is doing this for yourself, making love to yourself. Today I want you to shift out of yucky into yummy and reconnect with your body.
 
So today I'm inviting you to think how you put yourself first.

Here's what to do ...

In a small bowl, mix the following ingredients until you have a nice consistency, not runny and not too thick.  There are no measurements, just make a consistency.

  1. Coarse Salt
  2. Honey
  3. Sugar
  4. Olive Oil
  5. Coconut oil
  6. Essential Oil 2 drops in total (optional) Geranium, Clary Sage or Lavender.
 
Exfoliate your body, avoid your face or go very gently. Spend a little time with circular motions over your legs, your belly, your thighs, your boobies, lower back, arms, hands, upper arms, brush all the skin with the mixture.

You will by now be smelling really YUMMY.  

Do this in your bath or shower cubicle as the mixture does tend to fly off. 


Now for the delicious bit. 

Step under a warm shower or fill your bath, and watch how smooth, oily and delectable your skin is. 

Smell it. 


Just 15 minutes of this and you'll feel a shift.

6. Do

Pressure Points to Rebalance
helping you make the shift



Acupressure is a very old technique that helps your body to cope with stress and anxiety.  To shift from Yuk to Yummy, here are my favourite four pressure points to boost your own healing system.
